In 1985, it took several months to give birth to
Nipu in the factory of Nissan, in Yokohama,
Japan, before this prodigy of the technique saw
the daylight. This fruit of love of a Japanese
engineer and factory workers was named
Nissan-Datsun Sunny b11. Nipu spent his first
months in a ship container going towards the
unknown. After couple of months between huge
waves, rough sailors, and salt splashing, little
Nipu entered the unknown country of the
darkness where there was a few new people
and a trailer lorry waiting for him. The first
months passed in accustoming to the new
native country on the window of a car dealer.

Nipu changed his owner already half-a-year old.
The gentleman, who remained unknown, got a
brand new rubber leg for his business trips. In
1988 Nipu was sold again and the one, who
bought it, Alfred Kulju, was almost related to the
present owner - Miikka. Alfred was a good
friend of Miikka’s father and "Afu" needed a
new car because the previous one had
exploded besides the road. Now it was the time
Nipu had shown its nails. Afu took good care of
the car and Nipu enjoyed summer driving with
its plate fluttering on the sand ways of
Männikkö. It got spoiled with annual cares and
oils. Nipu truly got lucky.

The years passed. So charming by nature, Nipu
began to lose its appearance compared to its
new friends. The 80s was not any more the
fashion and the good owner Afu also noticed it.
However, Nipu needed a good home and so, in
2002, Afu decided to sell this noble metal
knight. Miikka Korpilo, who lived nearby and
had no car because his car had also broken
down in the worst time, offered to be a buyer. At
first glance Miikka fancied the technology of
Nipu and the body that has been well kept, and
so the deal was quickly made. With great
enthusiasm Miikka drove for months his new car
on the Finnish landscape until in 2003 he
decided to drive his iron soldier to Amsterdam
for a holiday. It was a succession of busy and
exciting holidays for Nipu, during which it has
been able to see amazing places and dazzling
landscapes, and meet wonderful creatures,
from the people to the animals. The trips went
smoothly. Memories and occasional fine
acquaintances in the last years were
remarkably good, except for a few mysterious
oddballs who have decided to break in Nipu.
Valuable stuff has not been taken from the car
but the finest window of Nipu´s has already
been broken twice.

Miikka has taken good care of Nipu and bigger health problems have been avoided. On the
surface of Nipu faint signs of tan began to appear and a few little problems have been repaired.
Now Nipu, that has been equipped with an old lady’s tires, can forget the nightmares of cold
scrap yards, and concentrate on enjoying the sound of the trip meter for its last miles. Nipu is
going back home! After a fierce world trip Nipu has already a huge desire to get back home - to
smell the familiar scent of the car factory, see his dear robot parents, and spend pleasant
pension days as an old car that has seen the world.
