Ville's childhood memories are connected to
the landscapes, forests, boat trips and the
smoked fish taste. Ville was a curious and
creative kid which could perhaps have become
something big. It didn´t go on that way. He got
used to the thought that in this world it is enough
when you do your part and get good marks from
school. He had no plan what so ever, he ended
up in high school and in a University of Applied
Sciences. The purpose was to study for a
graphic artist but since he found it boring, he
turned the audio-visuals. Maybe his problem
was the fact that he did not intend ever to plan
his future. Or perhaps he thinks too much...

After completing my school, I have been mainly
interested in painting, psychology and return of
bottles. My life philosophy is in conflict with the
real world, elbowing tactic, world that is why I
haven’t gained money, work or any other status
valued by the society. And I of course blame the
world for this bitter.

I heard about this trip two
months before the date of departure. I have
never met the team, neither have I been to
Russia. I had no money, but you can´t refuse this
kind of opportunity.

I am not a hardcore traveler
by nature. I am able to stay quite easily in
Finland and I am able to stare at the concrete
walls when there is no another alternative to do,
but there is something magical in traveling.

Meeting new people and the fact that it you
don’t know what comes behind the corner or
that you are never able totally to understand the
world where other people live in. This kind of
travelling, I think, is like real traveling at its most
genuine. Anyway, it is quite good to take a little
break from time to time.

My character could be perhaps described with the word "lazy". If the life of the normal human
being is swimming, my life will be floating. However, there are advantages here. I am not
pressed by the thought that I must hang with the same group during these six-months, and I think
as well my head will not explode from the constant sitting in the car.
